Carpets are made on more than 15,000 looms in and around Hamedan and have been for more than a thousand years. In the city itself carpets are knotted in a state manufactory, in the private weaving workshops small formats are preferred. Semi-antique and antique Hamedan carpets are very popular these days.

Auf über 15.000 Knüpfstühlen in und um Hamedan werden Teppiche hergestellt und das seit mehr als eintausend Jahren. In der Stadt selbst werden Teppiche in einer staatlichen Manufaktur geknüpft, in den privaten Knüpfereien werden bevorzugt kleine Formate geknüpft. Sehr gefragt sind in der heutigen Zeit semi-antike und antike Hamedan-Teppiche.
