<p>At the beginning of the 20th century, many saroughs were exported to the USA due to their high popularity. The patterns of these saroughs were knotted according to the tastes of the US buyers. Today, these antique 'American' Saroughs are coveted collector's items, often finding their way to Europe as well. An exception to the rule is the Sarough Mir carpet with its unique design.</p>

<p>Anfang des 20.Jahrhunderts wurden viele Saroughs aufgrund hoher Beliebtheit in die USA exportiert. Die Muster dieser Saroughs wurden nach den Geschmäckern der US-amerikanischen Käufer geknüpft. Heutzutage sind diese antiken „amerikanischen“ Saroughs begehrte Sammler-Objekte, die ihren Weg oft auch nach Europa finden. Eine Ausnahme von der Regel bildet der Sarough Mir Teppich mit seinem eigenständigen Design.</p>
