<p>These hand-knotted carpets have a long tradition in Iran, dating back to Safavid times. The classic patterns of these carpets consist primarily of a centrally placed medallion, which in turn is surrounded by many different figurative motifs, mostly flowers.</p>

<p>Diese handgeknüpften Teppiche besitzen eine lange Tradition im Iran, die bis zu den Zeiten der Safawiden zurückreicht. Die klassischen Muster dieser Teppiche bestehen vorwiegend aus einem zentral platzierten Medaillon, welches wiederum von vielen verschiedenen figurativen Motiven, meist Blumen, umgeben ist.</p>
