Tabriz carpets are among Iran's high-quality carpets with always first-class workmanship and materials. The fineness of a tabriz is indicated in ⊖Raj. A Raj indicates how many knots are on a width of 70 mm and thus assesses the fineness of the carpet. The most common Raj data are between 40 and 60 Raj, rarely also at 70 Raj.
